Vision
-By 2030 to see agriculture played a significant contribution to the country prosperity by transforming agriculture and bringing structural change within it.
Mission
-To realise the vision and achieve strategic results, MoA commits itself to the following Mission Statement: “To facilitate the development of a sustainable and diversified agricultural sector for enhanced income generation, and food and nutrition security”.
-The Mission will be realised by enhancing the sector’s competitiveness through cost effective strategies and efficiency improvements, promotion of agricultural and dietary diversification, improving infrastructure and strengthening theregulatory frameworks
Goals
-Increase agricultural production and productivity, promote agricultural commercialization and agro-industry development, reduce land degradation, improve natural resource productivity, achieve food security at national, regional, and local levels, and promote agricultural export earnings.
